| Forward and Back Once the shape is created with perfect symmetry, other distortions and transformations can help you create additional shapes and effects using that single shape. For example you can change the shape with Perspective or other Transform distortions. Shapes can also be combined to create complex shapes. With symmetrical shapes created, there is no reason the development needs to stop there, Shapes can be filled and then applying filters, effects and/or Layer Styles can help you use even simple shapes in very creative ways. Using pre-defined shapes and saved styles can, in turn, be used for standardizing web buttons and appearances amongst other things. See figure 6.
